This course is designed to provide administration, coaches and lead teachers with the skills needed to enhance their PLCs through the application of technology. Participants will be introduced to communication and collaboration tools, which can be found in Moodle and Edmodo and video conference software. Technology tools addressed will provide participants with the skills needed to remotely host PLC meetings, in synchronous and asynchronous time.  IMPORTANT:  This course is designed to model the hybrid format suggested for your PLC sessions.  As such, it will include asynchronies and synchronies online sessions, as well as in-person sessions.

During this online course participants will be presented with PUSD’s acceptable use procedures for iPad devices used with students and as a personal staff device.  This class will also cover iPad basic use and settings.  Completion of this course is required by district administration for all staff who will be using a staff or student use device.  This course is designed to be an introductory course and a pre-requisite to the Teaching with iPads online class and other subsequent iPad courses and workshops.  Credit: 3 Recertification Hours (cannot be taken for bank hours) IMPORTANT: You must complete no more than 14 days after you have received your iPad.  If you do not complete this course within this time, you will lose your privilege of using the devices(s), until you have completed this course.

This training will give you an introduction to Teams, one of many technology tools that can help enrich your classroom instruction. Since Teams has so many features, this course will focus on the basics. Although this is an online course, you will have a trainer available during the scheduled workshop time. If at any time you have difficulty completing a task, or need more clarification, click the "Ask a Question Via Skype" link, which will be visible on the Navigation menu once you start the lessons.
