Law Enforcement I (Gloden)

This course is an advanced course of study that extends the law-related program with an emphasis focused on the field of law enforcement.  The basis for the course will come mainly from the study of police procedures and their effects on society throughout the history of the United States, with a particular focus on the issues of today’s society.  Through the use of many authoritative sources (police officers, criminal experts, video/print material) students will gain a thorough knowledge of the practice of law enforcement in the United States.  This course is designed to build upon the concepts first introduced in the Criminal Justice class (a prerequisite), and give students a realistic hands-on experience in the historical / current practice of American law enforcement.  Participation in SkillsUSA Law Organization (CTSO) is a mandatory part of this class.
